How an Alkaline Diet Can Improve Your Health

I’ve been reading a lot about how eating a more alkaline diet can improve health and wellness… but what does this really mean?

Have you ever wondered, how an alkaline diet can improve your health?

Well if so, let’s dive in and discover the benefits together!!

Let’s begin with the basics. The pH level of the body is a measure of the acidity or alkalinity of any substance; also known as an “acid” or “base”.

Our bodies are constantly working to maintain a normal pH balance. The pH scale goes from 0 to 14, with 7 being neutral. Below 7 is acid and above 7 is alkaline. The blood, lymph and cerebral spinal fluid in the human body are designed to be slightly alkaline at a pH of 7.4. (Source)

Cancer thrives in an acidic and oxygen deprived environment.

“Eating alkaline foods balances the pH of the blood, which, in turn, inhibits the proliferation of cancer cells. Alkaline foods keep the blood pH in its ideal range of between 7.2 and 7.4, which is important for the prevention and treatment of cancer. Ideally, the diet should consist of 80 percent alkaline-forming foods, such as those available from many raw fruits and vegetables, as well as nuts, seeds, grains, and legumes.”  Gary Null, Ph.D., page 110.

I’ve discovered that our body’s internal pH affects our health immensely and is greatly influenced by the foods you choose to eat. So choosing more alkaline foods can not only decrease your risk of cancer but benefit your health greatly!!

Much research done by doctors dedicated to helping people cure their cancer by healing their body first, have discovered the importance of alkalinity in the body.
