My husband and I used to eat ice cream like it was our job. We’d eat the full fat stuff and top it off with baby calf milk. I’m embarrassed to even admit it!
BUT that was then and THIS is now…
Now, I’m obsessed with creating healthful and delicious raw desserts… Desserts you can eat for breakfast!!
Thus the Chocolate Cherry Bliss Smoothie was born! It’s a staple in our house lately… breakfast, mid-afternoon snack, or after dinner dessert. It’s always appropriate 🙂
I know it’s good because when my husband and kids eat it… complete silence. It’s beautiful and motivates me to continue making this gut healing, antioxidant-filled, inflammation reducing, protein full and fiber rich smoothie! Boom.
I sometimes add goat milk keifer… If you have yet to try it, I invite you to give it a shot. There are many health benefits. Goat’s milk keifer is full of gut healing probiotics, omega-3 fatty acids, calcium, magnesium, potassium, vitamin D, and enzymes. It also helps support healthy digestion, lowers risk of Type 2 diabetes, and boosts the immune system. (Source)
Vegan? Just skip it the keifer… it’s still SO delicious and nutritious without it!
Let’s do this!!
Chocolate Cherry Bliss Smoothie
(makes 3-4 servings)
1.5 cups frozen cherries
3 frozen bananas
1 soft banana
1/4 cup goat milk keifer (optional)
1 cup almond or nut milk (make your own!)
2 Tbsp almond butter (make your own!)
2 Tbsp chia Seeds
2 Tbsp hemp seeds
3 Tbsp cacao powder
3 Tbsp raw & unfiltered honey
1 Tbsp coconut oil
Put all ingredients in blender… blend until smooth and creamy. Poor, top with optional toppings, and enjoy immediately!! Boom!
Leftovers? Not likely, but if so… put them in Popsicle molds and enjoy for another day! (Here are my favorite non-plastic molds.)

Live Hippily…. and eat dessert for breakfast 🙂 XO
