If you won’t make your own… buy deodorant without toxic chemicals.
Most traditional deodorants offered at the store are toxic! There is high levels of aluminium and parabens in that store bought deodorant you’ve used for years. Aluminium and parabens are amongst the culprits.
Aluminium-based compounds are used as the active ingredient in antiperspirants. These compounds form a temporary plug within the sweat duct that stops the flow of sweat to the skin’s surface. (Insert gross face here)
Some research suggests that aluminum-based compounds, which are applied frequently and left on the skin near the breast, may be absorbed by the skin and cause estrogen-like (hormonal) effects.
Because estrogen has the ability to promote the growth of breast cancer cells, some scientists have suggested that the aluminium-based compounds in antiperspirants may contribute to the development of breast cancer. (Source)

Hippily Guide to DIY Non Toxic Deodorant
4 tbsp Organic Coconut Oil
3 tbsp Baking Soda
20 drops Essential Oils (I like Lavender and Geranium)
Use a double boiler melt coconut oil. Once completely melted mix in baking soda. Mix for about a 30 seconds then remove mixture from burner. Add in essential oils. Mix well… stirring constantly for 30-45 seconds.
Allow to cool… and.. that’s it!
Pour into a 4oz amber glass jar and use clean hands to apply.
The beautiful thing is once you begin to make some of your every day beauty items…. you realize how easy and healthy it is!
