Immunity Boosting Tea Recipe

This is my absolute go to recipe when I feel the full effect of a cold or flu virus… or just when it any sign that my immune-system has been compromised.

The anti-inflammatory, natural pain killing, and immune boosting properties of each ingredient make this tonic powerful and healing.

Immunity Boosting Tea

Ingredients:

2 cups hot water
1 tbsp of grated fresh ginger
1 tbsp of grated fresh tumeric root (or ground tumeric spice)
Dash of black pepper (this helps the body to absorb healing properties of tumeric)
Juice from one lemon (add 1 tsp of zest if using organic lemons)
1 tbsp of Manuka honey (you can sub raw and unfiltered honey)

Combine all ingredients (except honey) and allow to steep for 5 minutes… then add in honey and mix well.

You can strain the tea… BUT I leave everything in and try to ingest every ounce.

Take 1-2 times a day. I recommend drinking it right before bed. It has always helped me sleep better with less congestion and helps alleviates a sore throat.
